Shela Lahey Coleman

Shela Lahey Coleman is the Founder of Feyt Productions. She is a proud, long-time member of SAG (Screen Actors Guild) with 35+ years of acting, writing, producing, and directing professionally for television, film, theatre, and several news & magazine publications.

Shela started performing at a young age and was a member of Actors Equity for over 20 years. She received her BFA from The Theatre School at DePaul University. She had the privilege of performing on such stages as Washington D.C.'s National Theatre, Chicago's Goodman and Marriott Theatres, the Zephyr Theatre in Los Angeles, and New York's REV Theatre Company (formerly Merry-Go-Round Playhouse).

Shela has been honored to work with such legends as Mark Medoff, Barbara Turner, James Spader, Les Brown, Elisabeth Kübler-Ross / Ken Ross, and Jane Alderman. Ms. Alderman's production company, Chilany Productions, produced Shela's first television pilot, "Sam Hill", starring the wonderful Chelcie Ross. Shela has written and directed several documentaries, and produced a short feature film, "The Letter" by Eddie Heffernan, which was awarded Best Student Short Film at the Nashville Film Festival.

Shela founded the Sycamore Film Festival, a non-profit "Arts for the Arts" event that included Tony, Emmy, & Oscar award nominees and winners as well as international student filmmakers. The SFF awarded scholarships to young adults pursuing education in the Arts.

Shela has also written a compilation of poetry called "Ghosts Scream Let Freedom Ring", and the poetry trilogy "Surviving Youth". She is in development with a screenplay she adapted based on the book she optioned titled "Biting the Dust" by the prolific writer, Dirk Johnson.
